The term "BITS" or "us" or "we" refers to the owner of the website. The term "you" refers to the user or viewer of our website.
The content of this website is for entertainment only. It may change or be removed at any time, with or without prior notice. We are not responsible or liable for any issues arising as a result of modified or removed content.
We do not provide any warranties or guarantees in regards to any of the information and content on this website. Said information or content may contain inaccuracies, and we will not be held liable for any such errors, or any issues arising from such errors.

The BITS Administrative team reserves the right to remove any user, horse, establishment, linked website, or any other information from the game at any time and for any reason, without notice.
Users must be 13 years of age or older, in order to abide by applicable laws. However, BITS is aimed towards a more mature audience and we prefer applicants to be 16 years of age or older. Parental permission must be granted in order for any child under the age of 18 to participate in BITS.
Users are expected to be familiar with and abide by the [rules and regulations] put forth by the game staff at all times.
All users must provide a valid username and email address. Usernames do not have to be the users real name, but must be a human name and must not include numbers or other non-alphabetical characters.
No user may participate in any unlawful or illegal activities while participating in game activities. This includes using materials under copyright without proper written consent of the copyright holder.
Behaviour must be appropriate for audiences of all ages. Inappropriate or unlawful conduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This will include, but will not be limited to; harassment or threats (including racist or defamatory remarks), intentionally disruptive behaviour, displaying or discussing material of a pornographic or sexually explicit nature, "spamming" within the site or posting inappropriate advertisements, hacking any aspect of the site's program or framework, taking advantage of any discovered "bugs" or problems within the site, attempting to damage or disrupt the game or site in any way, or performing any actions that could be considered malicious to the site, its administrators, or its users.
BITS, and by extension, the BITS programmer/designer, holds copyrights to the game and all its associated aspects. This includes the website layout, design, graphics, content, coding, and programming; the database layout, design, and content; all game-specific and original information and content; and any of the preceding that may be developed or altered in the future. None of these may be used without prior written permission. Any unauthorized use or infringement will be investigated, and if not suitably remedied when asked, may put violators at risk of serious legal consequences.
All users are expected to respect these copyrights, and may not use any property legally owned by BITS in any way not permitted by the general game guidelines.
BITS is not legally responsible for violation of others' copyrights made by users of our game, or for the content of external sites linked to from our domain. We require our members to obtain appropriate permissions before using intellectual property owned by others, to abide by copyright laws, and we do not condone the unauthorized use of pictures, coding, etc. However, we cannot control the content that is listed on our members' sites, and as such, it is ultimately each member's responsibility to ensure no copyright infringements are made. Any issues with content listed on our members' sites should be addressed to the individual member. If brought to the attention of the BITS Administrative Team, such violations will be dealt with in any manner deemed appropriate.
BITS requires a valid email address from all applicants. This information will never be shared with any third party, and will only be used to contact you in regards to game-related issues.
The BITS system uses sessions to track users and their information. Because of this, users are required to choose a username and password when joining. This username and password will never be shared with any third party. Staff will have the ability to change either the username or password of any member if deemed necessary, but will never have access to any user-selected passwords.
BITS does not use cookies, and will never request any personal information from you other than that requested on the joining form. Any inquiries to the contrary are not from BITS officials and should be reported to the staff immediately.
BITS is a SIM, or simulated/cyber, horse game. As such, it is essentially a work of fiction, and none of the information presented on any of these pages or on member pages linked to from this site is in any way real. Any horses, money, shows, breedings, etc. that may be referred to on this site do not exist in the real world. No real monetary gain or profit is being made, and no real commercial activities are taking place.
